Family life can be expensive, we all know that. But it doesn’t have to be something that costs a lot of money. There are lots of different things you can do to make sure that you are staying frugal and on a budget. Although, when you’re trying to spruce up your home, it can feel impossible. You may get swept up and believe that you have to make big changes to the house, particularly replacing anything old. This is definitely the case with rooms like the bathroom. But you don’t always have to opt for something brand new. You can do things like the below instead.
Give It A Good Clean
Never underestimate the power of a good clean. It’s easy to look at an old and tired space and just assume that it all needs replacing. But sometimes it just needs a proper deep clean! Even a bit of tile and grout repair could change the look of an entire space. You just need to think outside the box and see what you can do with what you’ve already got.
And A Lick Of Paint
When you’ve got everything cleaned up, you’ll probably be surprised about how amazing the space looks. But don’t stop there. You could take it all to the next level by giving it a lick of paint. Repainting the walls can make the space look brand new again. You’ll be impressed. And, you can even choose the paint over the tiles to change the color or make them look refreshed if you want to do a complete transformation.
Switching Fixtures
At first, you thought that you needed to invest in a whole new suite, right? Well, now that you know you don’t it’s time to get thrifty with the changes you make. Sometimes, just changing a few of the features can work. And yes, this could mean that you get a new bath or shower in place. But, it could also just mean that you get a new shower head or taps for the bath and the room can look and feel entirely different.
Opt For Used
Now, at first, you might think that you need to have everything brand new. But you really don’t. Sure, you might want to get a brand new toilet, but you don’t have to get a whole new suite. Things like bathroom vanities are perfect to get second hand. This can save you a lot of money. You may even get whole sets that are basically brand new, for a fraction of the price.
Change The Accents
And then finally, you also have the option to think about changing up the accents that you have in the bathroom. Accessories can really transform a room. You don’t necessarily have to change all of the different fitting that you have for the space to look brand new. Instead, you can simply opt to bring in new accessories and this, combined with new paint or a good old clean, can really make the room look brand new.
